How to play Moonch.io
Moonch.io is a bright voxel arena game where you are a cow on a floating meadow full of other cows. Graze to put on weight, headbutt your rivals off the island and become the heaviest cow of all.
What makes Moonch.io stand out?
Weight is everything: a heavier cow is bigger, hits harder and is harder to push around, but walks slower and turns wider. Wind up a headbutt and lunge to knock rivals back; every bonk shakes loose some of their weight as hay that anyone can eat, and a cow knocked over the cliff or into a sinkhole is out, leaving you a share of its weight. The island is a little blocky world of lawns, tall meadows, rivers, woods and snowy mountains that grows as more cows join. Coins and gems lying around pay for new looks: 50 hand-made voxel cows, from a classic black-and-white to a galaxy cow with rainbow horns.
Game rules
You start as a 100 kg calf. A cow only grazes when it stands still for a moment with its head down. Tall, thick grass is worth more, dry yellow grass less, and a grazed patch takes a while to grow back. Hold BONK! to wind up (you move slowly while you do), then let go to lunge. A hit knocks the other cow back by how hard you wound up and how heavy you are compared with it, stuns it and drops some of its weight as hay. Push a cow off the island’s edge or into a sinkhole for a KO. If you fall off yourself, that life is over. At the end of a life you earn coins for what you picked up, the weight you put on and every KO.

Step by step
- Tap Play. Your cow appears in the middle of the meadow, safe for a few seconds.
- Drag anywhere to walk (on a computer the cow follows the mouse, or use W A S D or the arrow keys).
- Stop on thick green grass and wait a moment: your cow lowers its head and starts munching.
- Hold BONK! (or the left mouse button, or Space) to wind up, aim at a rival and let go to lunge.
- Knock cows over the edge or into sinkholes for a KO, and eat the hay they drop.
- When your life ends, collect your coins, then visit the Wardrobe to buy and dress up new cows.
The six power-ups

Tips for mastering Moonch.io
- Weight is power: graze first, fight later.
- Do not graze near the edge while a big cow is around; that is where it will push you.
- Watch for a cow lowering its head and the arrows on the ground: a lunge is coming. Step aside.
- A cowbell or a mega shroom turns a fair fight into an easy one.
- Bonk a heavy cow near the cliff and let the edge do the work.
- Hay from a fight is free weight; grab it before the others do.

Is Moonch.io free to play?
Yes. It runs in the browser with no download and no install, on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
Is it multiplayer?
The meadow fills with up to 100 cows that wander in and play on their own, and the island grows as more cows join. Real players online are coming.
How do I get heavier fast?
Stand still on thick green grass to graze, eat the hay that cows drop when they are bonked, and grab hay bales. Every KO also hands you a share of the loser’s weight.
What are coins for?
For the Wardrobe: 10 cows are free and 40 more are sold in four tiers. Owning a cow also unlocks its coat, its horns and its horn colour to mix as you like. Looks are only for show and never change how a cow plays.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your coins, your cows and your best weight are kept in your browser on this device. Clearing the site’s data resets them.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Drag anywhere to walk and hold the BONK! button to wind up a headbutt. It plays in portrait and in landscape.
